Starcrawler, Slater, Spare Parts for Broken Hearts, Iress, Tolliver, Bonavega, Jenny O., Gold Star, Fartbarf, Healing Gems, Butch Bastard, Send Medicine, Westerner, the Pretty Flowers, Boy Deluxe and Buckets are among the many musical artists scheduled to perform Saturday, Sept. 9, as Echo Park Rising makes its return.

As opposed to the behemoth three- or four-day affair of the past, the free, all-ages festival — returning to the neighborhood for the first time since its pre-pandemic 2019 event — has scaled back to one day. Absent is the outdoor stage that was the centerpiece of Echo Park Risings past.

Venues, bars, restaurants and retail outlets will be hosting myriad pop-up shows, and Echo Park businesses are offering discounts and giveaways throughout the day. At local bars, there’s even an Echo Park Rising Blonde Ale being offered, courtesy of beer sponsor LA Ale Works.
