Industrial rock heavyweights HEALTH have announced that their fifth album, “Rat Wars,” will be out Dec. 7.
With the news came two singles: The searing “Children of Sorrow” (featuring Lamb of God guitarist Willie Adler), pretty like liquid mercury is pretty, and “Sicko,” a magnificently plodding track that samples Godflesh’s “Rat Wars.” On the album, the band — Jake Duzsik, John Famiglietti and BJ Miller — worked with Canadian producer Ajay Bhattacharyya (aka Stint, whose credits include MØ, Kesha, Demi Lovato and Sabrina Claudio, among others). Lars Stalfors dialed in the mix.
The band also announced a tour that starts next March in Ventura and winds up in early April at the Belasco.
