Join me tonight at 10 for the L.A. Buzz Bands Show on 88.5 The SoCal Sound. Since we’re just a tick past the midway point of this year, I’m revisiting a small sampling of my favorite tracks from so far in 2024, including songs from Loren Kramar, Storefront Church, NoMBe, Brother Swan, Hana Vu, Nico Vega, Courtney Farren, Brainstory and Escape Artist Lovers. I’ll mix in some new tunes from Chatrooms, Dummy, Dream Phases and Chris Cohen. Plus, in honor of “All My Rowdy Friends,” the Elliott Smith tribute concert coming to the Regent Theater on Aug. 6, I’ll play a 20-year-old gem from Earlimart.
