Here’s something that may brighten up your day. Fans of both Ben Folds Five and Fraggle Rock (for those of you who are old enough to remember the ’80s Jim Henson show) can rejoice as the reunited pop band teams up with some of your favorite puppets. The humorous video for “Do It Anyway” arrived this week just in time for the release of “The Sound of the Life of the Mind” (out now on ImaVeePee Records and Sony Music) – the band’s first album since 1999’s “The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner.” Featuring actors Anna Kendrick and Rob Corddry, the video involves some mischief (as always), but it’s mostly a lot of fun. Folds and band members embrace the Fraggles during a recording session and even have time to sing the beloved Fraggle Rock theme song. Oh, and new Ben Folds Five track itself is just as rollicking and spirited as expected. Dare you to watch this Nerdist Industries and Phil Hodges-directed clip and not crack a smile or two.
