What version of yourself are you most comfortable with? This question comes to mind during the video for Springtime Carnivore’s slow-burning “Other Side of the Boundary.”  Starring the Chicago-bred, L.A.-based carnivore herself, Greta Morgan, the new video was directed by her collaborator Eddie O’Keefe and features a rolling montage of images, separated by white borders. The latter represent the “boundaries around each person,” Morgan says, “and we made them very prominent to represent the wall we all carry around ourselves, which only allows certain people to enter at certain times. The question I’m exploring is when and how can we reach the other side of those divides.” Morgan’s debut as “Springtime Carnivore” came out last fall on Autumn Tone Records.
