Beyond the mere fact that PARTYBABY’s “I Don’t Wanna Wait” is probably the most pulse-quickening rock ā€™nā€™ roll thrill ride we’ve latched our ears on in a long time (or Song of the Year So Far, if we made lists like that), there’s now a music video for it. Directed by Jacob Stark, it’s kind of a coming out party (baby), with the duo of Noah Gersh and Jamie Schefman and mates rocking the tune while a young lady makes a pizza run. (Echo Park’s Hard Times, yeah?) “We got a bit sick of people asking us why we were intentionally hiding our faces or not being in our videos,” the band said. “Our shows can get wild so we thought we’d address both issues as best we could, with bright shiny lights in our dumb sweaty faces. Also who doesn’t like to chase a feeling every once in a while.” PARTYBABY still hasn’t formally released any music, but that’s due to happen this month, they said in an interview. Hardfastloudcatchy. Get us a slice. And add an L.A. date to this U.S. tour so we don’t have to drive to the Lancaster Moose Lodge.
