► Fresh off their appearance at Emo Nite Day and with their new album “The Canyon” just out, the Used headline the Observatory.
► Chicago’s Knox Fortune headlines the Troubadour behind his new album “Paradise,” with Bane’s World supporting.
Shannon Lay, who has released two albums this year, kicks off a residency at the Echo, joined by Lael Neale, Entrance, Chad Ubovich and Death Valley Girls.
Dante Elephante headlines the Hi Hat, joined by Diners, Dreamboat and Color TV.
► L.A.-via-Seattle pop trio Tangerine highlight the lineup at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where they are joined by Split/Party, Harry Mack and Sharaya Summers.
Iress head up a free night of heavy rock at the Satellite, joined by Spare Parts for Broken Hearts and Nightgown.
► Michigan-bred, Berlin-based electronic artist Laurel Halo plays Zebulon behind her new album “Dust,” with Steven Warwick and M. Geddes Gengras opening.
► Olympia, Wash., trio Naomi Punk visit Resident in support of their latest albu, “Yellow,” with Gun Outfit and Kaz Mirblouk supporting.
► And War Tapes rock the Silverlake Lounge, along with Elovay and Reddea.
