With “Under The World” arriving March 2 on Anti-Language Records, VOWWS shares the most complex track on the album. “We nerd the fuck out on this one,” the duo says. “It was the most difficult one to get right ’cause it has so many twists and turns.” Striking a moody balance of sonic impulses, “It sort of ended up sounding like a jazzy, sci-fi, western video game,” they add. “Or like the theme of an ambitious low budget movie called ‘The Return of Space Cowboy 3.'” Yes, and in this sequel the cowboy must battle flying bat people seeking young blood.

VOWWS’ new album is the follow-up to 2015’s “The Great Sun,” which featured guest appearances by Gary Numan and Swans’ percussionist Thor Harris.
