Above: We couldn’t look ourselves in the mirror this week if we did not recommend, from the bottom of our hearts and wallets, the rare L.A. appearance by Boston trio Buffalo Tom, who soundtracked a huge chunk of our early and mid-’90s. It is not that we are particularly given to nostalgia (although this may trigger some); their new album “Quiet and Peace,” their first in seven years and out on Friday, ranks with their best output from ’92 (“Let Me Come Over”) and ’93 (“Big Red Letter Day”). Did we mention they’re playing two sets, one featuring “Let Me Come Over?” Oh my. Pogoing will transpire Saturday night at the Teragram Ballroom. Tickets.
