Busy, busy busy: Besides the sold-out concert at the Music Box @ Fonda featuring the Airborne Toxic Event, the Henry Clay People and Rademacher, there are a couple nice record-release shows: Lemon Sun [pictured] rocks the Troubadour in support of its latest, “Run With the Faithless,” and singer-songwriter Anya Marina plays the Hotel Cafe behind “Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II.” … There’s a big party at the Echo to celebrate the release of the HEART label – the Happy Hollows and the Movies head up a very deep bill. … Great little bill at the Silverlake Lounge featuring the twangy-good Leslie and the Badgers and the sultry-sweet Jonneine Zapata. … San Diego’s Dirty Sweet plays Spaceland with support from Night Horse. … The Appleseed Cast are back in SoCal; tonight’s show is at the Glass House. … Welsh hardcore dudes Funeral for a Friend rocks the Roxy. … Pop music for your tune jones: Y Luv plays the Alterknit Lounge, and Cola Cola play the Scene bar in Glendale. … And there’s lots going on downtown in conjunction with the artwalk: Pop Noir heads up a big music party at the Edgar Varela gallery (542 S. Alameda).
