The new batch of free residencies in Silver Lake/Echo Park kick off, and you should sample from all three before the months is out: Psych-blues duo Golden Animals [pictured] are doing the Mondays at the Silverlake Lounge, with My Pet Saddle the opening week. … Pop songstress Juliette Commagere joins Obi Best at the Echo. … Trippy electro-psych duo Gangi [more on them shortly] will have the residency at Spaceland. … And in Costa Mesa, the dual residency at the Detroit Bar features Evening Hour and Moostache. … Also: Static-X headlining the Sno-Core Tour at the House of Blues; Jake Walden at the Hotel Cafe; and the Monolators at Echo Curio.
