Top 3 ways to spend your Tuesday:

Lost In The Trees [pictured above] celebrate their release/re-release of their album “All Alone In An Empty House”  by cramming a symphony on the tiny stage at Amoeba. The ensemble, led by Berklee grad Ari Picker, was assembled in Chapel Hill and fined tuned by producing great Scott Solter, who has given us some fine indie rock by Spoon, St. Vincent and The Mountain Goats, so there will be a line down Cahuenga. Get there early.

‣ The Joy Formidable is swooping through L.A. before they return to London and jump on the NME tour. Tonight they play the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa. (Previous download of  “Whirring” here.)

‣ Singer-songwriter Gary Jules returns to the Hotel Cafe.

Your tastes may vary: Simon Stokes Band at 3 Clubs; Love and a .38 at the Viper Room; the Black Watch at Spaceland; Black Label Society at the Roxy; Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach.
