‣ Liverpool trio the Wombats will have to wait a little longer to make their return to the U.S. The band’s North American tour to tout their sophomore album “This Modern Glitch” – which included a date Wednesday at the Satellite – has been postponed because of immigration issues. A statement from the band: “Due to Visa issues, the Wombats performance has been canceled.  Immigration has been approved, however the band has still not received their visas as promised. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has created.”
Cold War Kids, whose third album “Mine Is Yours” is out Jan. 25, are playing an intimate show at the Bootleg Theater the night prior to the album’s release. The band announced today that they indeed are the “special guests” on the final night of Grouplove’s residency. CWK’s early L.A. shows at the Silverlake Lounge were booked by the Fold, which now also books the Bootleg. Tickets are $20 and on sale here.
