Video: Lord Huron, ‘Time to Run’

As a lover of Westerns, spaghetti Westerns and Western omelettes, I am completely riveted by the video for Lord Huron’s “Time to Run” – especially the part at the end when it says “To Be Continued.” The work of Evan Weinerman (who does business as Arms Race), the story, with Indonesian subtitles, tracks our protagonist (he’s the one with the too-neatly-trimmed beard) being chased through the desert by bad guys. Drama and gunplay ensue. The credits say it is based on a story from the “Lonesome Dreams” series by author George Ranger Johnson – but, not surprisingly, both Johnson and his book are creations of Lord Huron’s Ben Schneider. Louis L’Amour would be proud. “Lonesome Dreams” – Lord Huron’s debut album, by the way – is due Oct. 9 on IAMSOUND Records. See our first impresson of “Time to Run” here.
