Monday madness:
‣ U.K. quartet Peace [see our intro last week] makes its U.S. debut at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where they are joined by a trio of local luminaries – the Mowgli’s, Torches and Davis Fetter.
‣ The Henry Clay People’s residency at the Satellite – where they are recording a live album this month – gets a little comedic relief tonight. Incan Abraham and the Monolators support, and there will be short comedy sets from the Sklar Brothers, Matt Braunger, Jonah Ray and Matt Dwyer.
‣ Cambodian psych-rock purveyors Dengue Fever makes an appearance at the Dead Ships’ residency – tonight, at the Echoplex, where Mean Lady, Brian Posehn and Dave Koechner also support.
‣ Pop is the order of the night at the Bootleg Bar, where resident Jhameel is joined by Leonard Friend, Gavin Turek and Tempest.
‣ And Handshakes continue their residency at the Silverlake Lounge, where State to State, Mojo Stone and Nomadics support.
