Schoolboy Q visits Club Nokia behind his album “Oxymoron,” supported by Vince Staples and Audio Push.
The Magic Band – featuring original members John French, Mark Boston ad Denny Wallry – perform the music of Captain Beefheart at the Troubadour. Jeffertitti’s Nile supports.
‣ At the Roxy, it’s Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine and Le Butcherettes, along with Death Hymn #9.
‣ And if you can’t make Coachella – or just want to warm up for the festival by hearing some of the songs – indie-rock cover band Black Crystal Wolf Kids are doing their annual “Coachella Tribute Show” at the Echo, featuring a wide-ranging setlist of hits from bands playing this year in Indio. It’s an early show, kicking off at 6 p.m.
