Jenny Lewis returned to her home turf on Thursday night — well, almost her home turf — headlining a show at the Echoplex behind her latest album “The Voyager.” On a night Lewis was introduced by musician/actor John C. Reilly and preceded by a short monologue Tim Heidecker, good-spirited banter was the order of the day. “When are you going to play Spaceland?” someone shouted during the set, referring to the name by which the Silver Lake club the Satellite was formerly known. “It’s not called that anymore,” Lewis corrected. The shows also featured were also giant balloons — which didn’t last long because of the ’Plex’s low ceilings — and their popping also provided some comic relief.
