Coachella 2016 ended Sunday in a flurry of fireworks, cameos and heartfelt tributes to the late Prince — the latter notably coming from Usher during his guest turn with Major Lazer.
Both Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar joined Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals for their set, and sax savant Kamasi Washington mashed Prince’s “1999” with his own “Malcolm’s Theme,” Billboard reported. There were a slew of other guest turns: MØ, also with Major Lazer; Tove Lo and Vince Staples with Flume; Gavin Turek with TOKiMONSTA; and Big Sean and John Newman with Calvin Harris.
