Young the Giant have released a video for the lead single, “Something To Believe In,” off their forthcoming album, “Home Of The Strange” – out Aug. 12 via Fueled By Ramen. Things have been busy over at the Young the Giant camp in anticipation of their third full-length. They announced their upcoming “Home Of The Strange” tour with Ra Ra Riot, which includes a stop at the Greek Theatre in October. They’ve also been putting out teasers, visualizers and, in addition to “Amerika” and “Something To Believe In,” a third more subdued song, “Titus Was Born.” The latter allows frontman Sameer Gadhia to show off a delicate side to his vocals, while “Something To Believe In” offers a more ebullient preview of what’s to come with Gadhia belting, “Realize you’re a slave to your mind / Break free! / Now give me something to believe in!” The video, directed by Oregon-based creative studio Computer Team, is a part-animated/part-stop-motion/all-trippy version of the band performing. It’s hypnotizing and probably best experienced sober … pfft, who are we kidding?
