Peaches was her typically risqué self on Friday night night at the Wiltern, delivering an engaging, outlandish and crowd-pleasing performance behind her latest album, “Rub.” She started off the night performing the title track off “Rub” dressed like a pink Yeti. Her two cohorts were dressed similarly while dancing along to the music. Things got even more bizarre during “Vaginoplasty,” when the dancers wore large masks that looked like vaginas. Towards the end of the song Peaches stripped off the fur costume and revealed her “boob costume” and ventured into the crowd.
In celebration of the venue’s 85th birthday she sprayed champagne onto the audience. The rest of the show continued to be shocking and explicit, pushing the boundaries. Opening act Christeene joined her onstage for the song “Close Up.” And the stage went dark for the soothing track “Light In Places,” and the show ended abruptly on a soft note.
