Above: The Play Like a Girl collective — a group of women artists and female-fronted bands — started doing its thing a year ago. Many shows later, PLAG is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a one-day mini-festival Saturday at the Echoplex. Kitten, fronted by high-flying Chloe Chaidez, headlines, joined by the likes of Smoke Season, Twin Temple, Stars at Night and Spare Parts for Broken Hearts. There are a dozen bands in all, plus DJs and more. Tickets are $13.50-$18.50 and available here.
