Video: Dent May, ‘Sea Salt & Caramel’

Summer is for sun, skating, the seashore … and “Sea Salt & Caramel,” the exceedingly sticky new song from Dent May.

The song is from the Mississippi-bred, L.A. based songwriter’s fifth album, “Late Checkout,” due Aug. 21 via Carpark Records.

The (seeming) innocence of the ’70s is alive here, and the video, directed by Nathan Castiel, is a hoot, with May eschewing beach wear in favor of simply having a good time. Considering the pandemic, it’s almost enough to make you believe we are in the throes of the Best Summer Ever. Grab yourself an ice cream cone and don’t give two whits about it melting.
