■ Pixies have released a new single, “Hear Me Out,” featuring new bassist Paz Lechantin on lead vocals. The song is one half of a double-A side (with another tune, “Mambo Sun”) releasing on limited edition vinyl on October 16. For their album “Beneath the Eyrie” last year, they also released a 12-episode podcast, narrated by and in conversation with best-selling author Tony Fletcher about the recording process and their past catalogue.
