Zac Carper laments relationship problems on the new single from L.A.’s favorite pop-punk reprobates, FIDLAR. In the process, he flips some pretty nifty lyrical twists in “Centipede” — even beyond his shouted chorus, “You incomplete me.”
“My girlfriend thinks I’ll abandon her / She’s my Oasis, but she treats me like I’m a Blur,” Carper confesses as the trio’s power chords land.
The new song, which arrived today with Ryan Baxley’s video, is the lead track on FIDLAR’s just-announced EP, “That’s Life,” a six-track affair that includes previously released singles “FSU,” “Sand On The Beach” and “Taste The Money.” Out March 17, it’s the band’s first major release since their 2019 full-length, “Almost Free.”
