Jordi — aka drummer, singer-songwriter, doer of many things Jordan Radnoti — finds emotional and sonic heft in searing, ’90s-styled alternative rock.

So it is with the dizzying swaths of guitar on her new single “Odd Day” that she announces that her debut album, “Sorry I’m Late,” will be out Aug. 4 via Dangerbird Records, the label that introduced the Monrovia teenager in 2021 with two singles on its Microdose Series.

“Some days just suck,” Jordi says of “Odd Day.” “This song is like a hug for when that kind of day hits you. It’s the dissociation between what’s in front of you and feeling; a sense of nostalgia that acts a warm blanket, or a lurking apprehension that sends shivers down the spine that aches to end the pain. Everything stops feeling real and time just exists.”

The album, which includes two other single’s she’s released this year, “So Easy” and “Clear,” was made with producer Joe Reinhart (Algernon Cadwallader, Hop Along).
