Video: The Know, ‘Someday Maybe’

The Know’s debut EP is out today, and there’s hardly a better way reason to celebrate than watch the L.A. duo’s video for the song “Somebody Maybe.” It features the legendary Howard Mordoh — aka LA Rocker, aka Howard the Dancing Man or just The Dancing Man. He’s 69 years old and southern California concert-goers have seen him at shows big and small for years, dancing like he doesn’t care what anybody thinks. And why should he?

Like the way Mordoh breathes life in a backyard party in the video, the Know — the husband-wife duo of Daniel Knowles and Jennifer Farmer-Knowles — invigorate their dream-pop with a sweet, sometimes bristling yearning. Building their own Wall of Sound, if you will. It will have fans of shoegaze greats like the Cocteau Twins and the Jesus and Mary Chain, as well as ’60s girl groups, buzzing.

The album is out digitally and on limited-edition gold vinyl.
